As cold winter weather hit us in Chicago, I had a great time compiling this list of my favorite comfort foods. These are the foods I turn to when temperatures dip below freezing, whether it’s a cheesy pasta, hearty pork ribs or sweet hot chocolate. Sadly, this is the last issue of Today’s Chicago Woman that will be printed, but I’m so honored to have had the chance to contribute a few food and travel stories to this magazine’s incredible legacy. It’s a magazine that’s been around since before I was born and helped pave the way for female journalists like myself decades later.
Here’s hoping founder Sherren Leigh has a chance to travel and enjoy life like she deserves! And here’s wishing all of you much health, happiness, love and prosperity in 2015. May it be your best year yet.
